The manifestation of America's political scene is a direct result of a power-base shift in the country. It is a shift away from the vision of the constituion and its amendments due to the disdain for what the US has come to represent; a shallow pond of democracy. The ideals laid down in the constitution are no longer palpable in the mouths of Americans. That vast ocean of limitless beauty has been squandered and sold and forced upon too many with varying extreme rates of return.
There are too many people in the US for the ideas of the original constituion to continue to be interpreted the way it has been. We need a different view of it, if we are to see a healthy and peaceful way through the rest of this century. America is sick and not doing well right now. Donald Trump is one way forward. However, the man and what he represents is not a healing, inward-looking leader; that which is needed at this point in time for America.
America is shifting its power and we need to be humble and understanding of this chamge. We need to focus our policies inward while maintaining strong ties with our friends and showing our enemies that we are capable of empathy. America can lead again but it must ask and do of itself what it has never done before -- stop, sit and breathe.
